About

Dr Remi is an Associate Professor Of Management and Management Discipline Leader at The University of Queensland Business School. She is also the Convener and Co-Leader of The Next Generation of Workspaces Research Network- A UQ Global Change Institute initiative consisting of 22 academics from UQ and abroad. 

Remi's principal research interests include: conflict management, teamwork, leadership, diversity & HRM, and the physical work environment such as open-plan offices, employee productivity, collaboration, emotions, conflict, wellbeing and organizational change. It also includes how these areas of research might impact new leadership skills into the future of work. 

Remi is an award-winning researcher and the results of her cutting-edge research have been published widely in reputable journals such as Journal of Organization Behavior. She has also written many book chapters and co-edited a Handbook of Conflict Management Research published by Edward Edgar Publishers while she has presented her research in several national and international conferences.

She is a recipient (with others) of a highly coveted Australian Research Council (ARC) Discovery Grant awarded to study the impact of physical work environment (e.g. office configurations) on employees' wellbeing and productivity. She has appeared on national and international media talking about work spaces especially open-plan office issues. Remi is a member of the Australian Human Resource Institute (AHRI), US Academy of Management, and International Association of Conflict Management.

Her hobbies include: dancing, listening to soft music and getting challenged.
